An archaeological site that tells the story of ancient Jerusalem during the reign of King David. There is archaeological evidence of residences from the Bronze Age and up until the Middle Ages. These findings include evidence of Jewish monarchic settlement in the days of the First Temple. Today, the site is a tourist attraction and a residential neighborhood. King David declared Jerusalem as his capital and ever since then Jerusalem is recognized as the capital city of Israel.
